'... laypeople find it difficult to collaborate in the design of
something with which they are not very familiar. In the Jordan
case, for example, a husband tried to design his future house
without permitting his wife to have any input. It quickly became
apparent that he was involved in very few activities in the house.
When unable to generate a design he reluctantly asked his wife to
"help", and a design that pleased them both was then quickly
