To plunge, as we seem to be plunging, into a second era of technical intimacy, that of the satellite, the fibre optic, the world-wide tv-computer-net, while still expecting the old social values to survive, and building old rules into enormous new systems, seems to be something that we, or our children, are going to regret, and suffer from.
