I remember David Hockney suggesting the same thing 
- it's an obvious way to use television 
but the professionals have no use for it, 
or it has no use for them. 
The most direct and human uses of technology 
will not be discovered by experts, I think, 
but by artists, 
and by all of us as ordinary people, 
everyone's life being an artwork you might say. Not a commodity.
