Yes, the belief that everything has to be designed to be 'foolproof' is one that surely has to change. More appropriate now is the notion of 'depending on everyone' to be fully capable. Everyone as creative.

things are designed on the assumption that everyone is gifted with immense skills, such as we all exhibit in speaking, in listening to speech, in walking, or in apparently simple everyday actions like putting a piece of food into your mouth without looking. To get a computer to do that is more than difficult because a machine needs a limited language and a frame of reference before it can act but people can act without one, making up the rules as they go along.

Is that what we mean by creativity?
